Featured Membership Terms and Refund Policy

These terms apply only to agents who buy the Featured plan. Buyers and sellers never pay anything to use Search With Pride, and a Basic listing is free.

Featured Membership Terms

1. What these terms cover. These terms apply when a licensed real estate agent (“you”) buys the Featured plan from Search With Pride LLC, a Virginia limited liability company (“we”, “us”). A free Basic listing does not require these terms. Any referral program we may offer in the future is a separate agreement. Nothing here commits you to it or to any referral fee.

2. What Featured is. Featured is paid placement. While your plan is active, your profile carries a Featured label and is given priority placement in browse results on the agent directory and on state and city pages. The order among Featured agents rotates every day. Featured is always labeled wherever it appears.

3. What Featured is not. Featured does not earn, speed up or replace the license check or the pledge. Every agent is license-checked and signs the Search With Pride Pledge the same way. Featured never places you on a match shortlist and never moves you up one. We do not promise any number of views, contacts, clients or transactions.

4. Who can buy it. Featured is available only to agents whose profile has been published: an active real estate license, checked by us, and a signed current Search With Pride Pledge. If you buy before your profile is published, tell us and we will refund you in full.

5. Price and automatic renewal. Featured costs $199 per year, charged when you buy. Your plan renews automatically every year at the then-current price, charged to the same payment method, until you cancel. We charge on the anniversary of your purchase. Any applicable sales tax is added at checkout.

6. Renewal reminder. We will email you between 30 and 60 days before each renewal, with the renewal date, the amount and how to cancel.

7. How to cancel. Cancel any time online: log in and open My Subscriptions, then choose Cancel on your Featured plan. You can also email info@searchwithpride.com. You never need to call or speak to anyone. When you cancel, automatic renewal stops and Featured stays on until the end of the year you have paid for. Your free Basic listing is not affected.

8. Refunds. Refunds follow the Refund Policy further down this page, which is part of these terms.

9. Price changes. If we change the price or any material term, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal, with instructions on how to cancel. A new price applies only from your next renewal.

10. Failed payments. If a renewal charge fails, the plan ends and Featured is removed automatically. Your Basic listing stays live, and you can buy Featured again at any time.

11. Founding agents. Founding agents given Featured at no charge are not billed and are not subject to sections 5 through 10. Their Featured placement continues for as long as their license stays active, their pledge stays current and they remain in good standing under the pledge.

12. Your profile and conduct. You are responsible for keeping your profile accurate and your license active. Your profile may not describe neighborhoods, schools or residents in ways that steer clients toward or away from an area, and may not state a preference for or against anyone based on a protected characteristic. You agree to follow The Search With Pride Pledge and federal, state and local fair housing law.

13. Suspension and removal. We may suspend or remove Featured, your listing or both if your license lapses or is disciplined, you break the pledge or these terms, or your profile is inaccurate. If we remove Featured because you broke the pledge or these terms, no refund is due. If we remove it for any other reason, including discontinuing the Featured plan, we will refund the unused part of your year.

14. Fair placement. Placement is by plan only, never by who you are. We never use race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity), familial status, disability or any other protected characteristic to place, rank or feature an agent.

15. No guarantee; limit of liability. Search With Pride is a directory. We are not a party to any transaction between you and a client, and we do not represent buyers or sellers. The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for Featured in the 12 months before the claim.

16. Changes to these terms. We will email Featured members at least 30 days before any material change takes effect, and post the new version here with its effective date.

17. Governing law. Virginia law governs these terms. Disputes go to the state or federal courts serving Richmond, Virginia.

Refund Policy

New purchases. If you ask within 14 days of buying Featured, we will refund the full $199 and end your Featured placement.

Renewals. If you are charged for a renewal and ask within 14 days of that charge, we will refund the full renewal amount and end your Featured placement. This applies every year, not only the first.

After 14 days. We do not give partial refunds for the rest of a paid year. You can still cancel at any time to stop the next renewal, and Featured stays on until the end of the year you paid for.

When we end Featured. If we discontinue the Featured plan, or remove your Featured placement for any reason other than a breach of the pledge or these terms, we will refund the unused part of your year, calculated by day.

Before your profile is published. If you bought Featured before your profile was published, we will refund you in full whenever you ask.

Mistakes. Duplicate charges and charges made in error are always refunded in full, whenever you tell us.

How to ask. Email info@searchwithpride.com from the address on your account. We reply within 2 business days. Refunds go back to your original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days of approval, depending on your bank.

Founding agents are never charged, so this policy does not apply to them.
