What every agent signs
The Search With Pride Pledge
Every agent on Search With Pride agrees to this when they join. It is three commitments, in plain language, about how they treat the people who come to them. It is a promise agents make, not a certification we hand out.
We keep a record of who signed, when, and which version. An agent who stops meeting these commitments can be removed from the directory.
The pledge1. Dignity & respect.I treat every client with dignity and respect, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, relationship or family structure, or other protected characteristics.2. Welcoming & professional service.I provide LGBTQ+ people and allies the same professional service, care, communication and advocacy expected for every client, while respecting how each person identifies and chooses to live.3. Fair Housing.I follow Fair Housing laws and principles and never steer, discriminate, or make assumptions about where someone should live based on who they are.By joining Search With Pride, I commit to upholding The Search With Pride Pledge in my real estate practice. My license is active, my profile is accurate, and I understand my profile can be removed if I stop meeting these commitments.Version 2026-09.3. Agents sign by checking a box and typing their full name as it appears on their license. The name, the date and the version are kept in a private record. Agents sign the version current when they join and re-affirm when the commitments change materially. Wording is sometimes clarified without changing what is promised.
If something goes wrong
Tell us.
Email info@searchwithpride.com with the agent’s name and what happened. You don’t need to have worked with them, and you don’t need proof — tell us what you experienced. We read every message. We will ask you what you are comfortable sharing, and we will not pass your name to the agent without your say-so. Depending on what we find, an agent may be asked to respond, may have their listing removed, or may be removed permanently. We are a directory, not a regulator. If you believe you were discriminated against in housing, you can file a complaint with HUD, with your state’s Fair Housing agency, or with your local human rights office — and you can do that whether or not you tell us.Scope
What we check, and what we don’t.
We check credentials. Before an agent’s profile is published we confirm their real estate license is active with the state that issued it, and we check it again at renewal. We check that they have agreed to this pledge. We don’t verify anyone’s identity.Agents tell us in their own words whether they are joining as a member of the LGBTQ+ community or as an ally, and that is what appears on their profile. We don’t ask anyone to prove who they are, and we never would.Identity does not affect matching. An agent’s identity or ally status does not affect how consumers are matched with or shown agents. Matches are built from service area, specialties, whether an agent is taking new clients, and whether their license check and pledge are current. Featured placement is paid, and it is labeled wherever it appears.Every agent here serves every client. This is a directory of agents who have committed to how they treat people — not a directory of agents who work only with LGBTQ+ clients. Fair Housing law protects everyone, and so does this pledge. This page isn’t legal advice. It describes what our agents commit to. It doesn’t tell you what the law requires of anyone else.Looking for an agent? Every agent in the directory has agreed to this. Browse agents →Are you an agent?
